The Ripper Files is post BtVS and AtS and set mainly in Britain and usually within shouting distance of the English West Country where Raven’s Abbot, Rupert Giles’s ancestral home is situated, not far from Wells. (As in the Baby-eating Bishop of Bath and Wells of Blackadder fame.) Giles, who now calls himself Ripper, has set up what is, in effect, a new Watchers’ Council for the British Isles and southern Europe with a remit to go wherever he and his intrepid team is required or requested. His group is called Ripper Investigations and it is associated with Riley Finn’s Hellmouth Council based in Oregon.
