“You’ve been saving the world a lot more lately,” Buffy said to Spike. “On some superhero kick?”

“I’ll try to explain this in words you can understand.” He ignored Buffy’s glare. “This is the world.” He held up his hands. “This is where Xander is.” He poked the space he had made the world. “Therefore, if I save the world.” He motioned with his hands again. “Then I save Xander. If Xander were to leave this world.” Spike made a motion as if plucking something out of the air. “Then there would be no reason for me to save it.”
